Can This Special Rice Really Help You Maintain Normal Cholesterol Levels?

Dear Friend,

Have you had the pep talk?

You know . . .

The one about your “numbers.”

The one where your doctor warns you to get more exercise. Drop a few pounds. Stick to a heart-healthy diet.

Or else . . .

There’s that unspoken threat. The stern look. The prescription pad in hand.

You may already know this, but it’s worth repeating.

One of the best ways to support your cardiovascular health is to do everything you can to support normal cholesterol levels.

Not just your total cholesterol. Your “numbers” also include a healthy balance of LDL (often called “bad” cholesterol) and HDL (referred to as “good” cholesterol). And don’t forget triglycerides, another blood fat considered important when it comes to overall cholesterol numbers.

Unfortunately, as leading cardiologist Dr. Chauncey Crandall has seen time and time again, a heart-healthy diet and moderate exercise are just not enough for many folks when it comes to maintaining optimal cholesterol levels.

And Dr. Crandall has had so many people ask him for a natural solution to support normal cholesterol levels over the years that, well, he’s lost count.

Problem was, he just couldn’t find anything that met his requirements.

That’s why Dr. Crandall teamed up with experts at the premium supplement company Medix Select.

They put their heads together and created an advanced cholesterol support formula.

It’s called LESSTRANOL®.

And great news!

You’ll have the opportunity to try LESSTRANOL for yourself for a full 30 days, so keep reading for more details on this special offer.

Because first, here’s what you should know about the ingredients in this powerful formula.

An Extraordinary Rice Backed by
Thousands of Years of Use

Rice makes a delicious addition to many meals — but can it really help support normal cholesterol levels?

Well, if you use this special type of rice . . .

According to many scientific studies, the answer is yes.

Red yeast rice has been used by the Chinese for centuries to create rice wine, and to preserve meat and fish.

Even more important, red yeast rice has been used in traditional Chinese medicine as far back as the Tang Dynasty in 800 A.D.

5 Healthy Benefits of
LESSTRANOL

  1. Helps Maintain Normal Cholesterol Levels
  2. Promotes Optimal LDL/HDL balance
  3. Helps Maintain Normal Triglyceride Levels
  4. Promotes Cardiovascular Health
  5. Supports Heart Health

Chinese healers didn’t know about cholesterol, of course.

But they used red yeast rice to promote good blood circulation, aid digestion, and generally invigorate the body.

Before getting into the modern research behind the benefits of this special rice, it’s important to know what makes it different . . .

Red yeast rice is actually a fermented product. It’s a type of rice on which strains of yeast (Monascus purpureus) have been cultured.

Back in 1979, Japanese biochemist Akira Endo discovered that Monascus yeast produces a natural substance that limits the creation of cholesterol. He named it monacolin K.

Monacolin K is one of a family of monacolin-related substances with the ability to inhibit an enzyme called HMG-CoA. This enzyme is important because it’s required for the process that creates cholesterol in the liver.

In simpler terms, this means: Reduce the amount of the enzyme HMG-CoA, and the body produces less cholesterol.

Could it really be this easy?

Let’s see what the research says:

One study reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition involved 83 subjects in a placebo-controlled, prospectively randomized 12-week controlled trial at the UCLA School of Medicine. Researchers wanted to evaluate the effects of red yeast rice on lipid levels separate from the effects of a heart-healthy diet. Participants who took 2.4 grams of red yeast rice daily demonstrated a greater ability to promote normal cholesterol levels than a heart-healthy diet alone. The study also indicated that it supported normal triglycerides levels, too.

Another study published in the journal Current Therapeutic Research followed 324 patients who took a red yeast rice preparation. After eight weeks, researchers found that red yeast rice helped promote normal total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels. It also helped increase HDL.

Or how about this?

A meta-analysis of 93 randomized controlled trials involving almost 10,000 Chinese patients found that red yeast rice helped support normal levels of total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides, and helped raise levels of HDL compared with placebo.

And in this 2013 study reported in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine, a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of 52 physicians and their spouses found that a red yeast rice extract was effective in promoting normal total cholesterol and LDL.

Fact is, there is a substantial body of supportive research for the benefits of red yeast rice.

But Dr. Crandall didn’t stop there.

In addition to giving you 2.4 grams of red yeast rice daily (a full research dose), LESSTRANOL also contains another unique ingredient.

The LESSTRANOL formula includes Cholesstrinol, a synergistic, patent-protected formula that combines PMF-Source® citrus flavonoids with TocoSource® palm tocotrienols.

Why Flavonoids and Tocotrienols
Help With Cholesterol Support

One of the reasons we’re told to eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is because they support optimal heart health.

This benefit is due in no small part to the presence of bioactive compounds called flavonoids, which are present in fruits and vegetables.

PMF-Source citrus flavonoids — derived from the peels of oranges, tangerines, and other citrus fruits — have been shown to support heart health with over 25 years of documented research.

When it comes to cholesterol, research indicates that flavonoids activate genes in a way that helps cells use cholesterol more efficiently.

And what about tocotrienols?

Tocotrienols are little-known members of the vitamin E family. Research now suggests that tocotrienols help maintain optimal plasma cholesterol levels by blocking HMG-CoA reductase. This is the enzyme you’ve already seen is necessary to produce cholesterol in the liver.

Both flavonoids and tocotrienols are also powerful antioxidants that help fight free radical damage.

You’ve heard of free radicals — tiny unstable particles that damage or even destroy your cells and DNA. They’re responsible for a process that scientists call oxidative stress. High levels of oxidative stress have been linked to premature aging.

So reducing oxidative stress helps support health at the cellular level and is thought to promote healthy aging. It’s great to have more antioxidant power in your corner when you want to maintain normal cholesterol levels.

This combination of ingredients you’ll find in LESSTRANOL — citrus flavonoids and palm tocotrienols — has been studied for effectiveness.

Research published in Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine reported on a 12-week double-blind, placebo-controlled protocol with 120 subjects. Those taking a patented combination of citrus flavonoids and palm tocotrienols helped promote normal total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides compared to placebo.
